It Only Takes One
I don’t know about you but recently it seems that there have been a lot of distractions that have been surrounding this movement, and our community. Many have taught before on the tactics of the adversary and we know that one of the most common tactics the adversary uses is distraction.
Distraction has over taken our movement. The shape of the earth, the names of God, and all the other stuff that comes with it. When did we become the enemy of our brothers? When did we forget the commandment to pray for our enemies? When did we turn into a bunch of hard-hearted doubters. How do we change that?
Christian’s and Hebrew’s wandering is not a new concept. In fact it is one of the ways I believe I know for a fact we are getting closer to the understanding of the Lord’s word. Just like our ancestors before us we seem to be wandering in the wilderness. We seem to lack a clear vision and guidance. If this is true it is because we lack the Holy Spirit which is what the Lord uses to bring vision, understanding, and the fulfillment of the fruits of our faith. How do we get back? How do we overcome distractions?
What did Yeshua tell Peter when the disciples saw him standing on the water? Come here. Keep your eyes on me and you will be able to walk on the water. Peter had to have faith and trust in the Lord, and the moment he disobeyed and took his eyes off of him he began to sink.
God has used men to lead the Israelites back to his vision and plans many times.
The story of Moses, it was said Moses wasn’t a great speaker. Moses also ran away from God after killing an Egyptian. God found Moses in the wilderness and led him back to Egypt to deliver and lead his people out of bondage in route to the promised land. God used Moses to bring HIS WILL and PLAN to this earth.
The Israelites doubted Moses and didn’t want to leave, they lacked faith in whether or not this was the Lord’s plan and yet the Lord still made His Will be done.
The story of Joshua is another great example. Joshua was one who gave a testimony of faith and good report on the promised land. Yet the Israelites didn’t want to go in. Joshua trusted the Lord and waited for the anointing to then he took the land.
The Israelites doubted taking the land and lacked faith in whether they could take the Canaanites. Yet God used Joshua to execute His WILL.
The story of Job. God allowed almost every possible negative thing to happen to him. Even with counsel from those around him Job refused to curse God. He waited patiently on the Lord and then he was justified by God at the end of the book of Job.
Job’s friends doubted what God was doing, they lacked faith that God was in control, yet God used Job to execute His Will.
The story of Barnabas, not always one of the most well known in the Scriptures, but Barnabas took Paul under his wings and helped establish many new churches. Paul wasn’t always well received nor trusted. He was well known for his previous persecution of God’s people. Yet Barnabas had faith in God and trusted that Paul was a man of God and helped train him up for ministry.
Barnabas trusted the Lord when others wouldn’t and had faith when others didn’t. God used Barnabas to help train up Paul one of the most influential disciples in our modern day.
Esther, Abraham, I could go on and on. So what does this mean.
God uses imperfect people for His perfect plan. It only took one willing to execute the will of the Father to set forth a ripple effect in the world.
Are you that one? Can God use your willing heart to set forth a ripple effect in the world that will shake this very world to it’s core? Does the revolution start here and now? It only took one. The returning to the law, the returning to the feasts, the returning to our roots has already begun. What about the Revolution of Messiah? That has already begun. We see it in the Christian church. Their love of Messiah is undeniable.
What about the Revolution of the Kingdom of God? The Kingdom of God is the perfect balance of the obedience to the Torah and the magnification of Messiah in our lives. It only takes one called by God to set forth a revolution of the coming of the Kingdom of God. That is after all our job. To help usher in the kingdom of God on this earth and prepare the way for our coming Messiah.
It only takes one. Remember one came, was tested, was tried, was ridiculed, mocked and crucified so that we can join our Father in the Kingdom of God. Yet in the greatest moment of trial, in the greatest moment of pain, yet in the greatest moment of shame HE said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” He took the responsibility for the covenant between the Father and us. He took the shame.
Enough is enough. Father forgive them for they know not what they do by breeding contempt, distraction and divisive behavior amongst your people. Father forgive me for following distractions, lacking in faith, and for failing at keeping my eyes on you by walking in my flesh and not by your Spirit. For into your hands Father I commit my Spirit. I know it only takes one for your PERFECT WILL TO BE DONE and if no one else will do it I will do.
